Watch out for hidden apartment fees

Before you sign that contract, make sure you find out about any hidden apartment fees, believe me, they exist.

Here are some questions you should ask the condo, home or apartment manager before you sign anything.

1. How much is rent?
2. How much are utilities on average? They will probably be higher than what the manager tells you.
3. What is the deposit, and how much will you get back.
4. Internet fees
5. Parking
6. Cable
7. Maintenance
8. Cleaning check fees, these ones are annoying!
9. Costs to use any of their facilities
10. Laundry cost. Is it coin operated laundry-mat style? If it is, go and check their costs. Often their prices are ridiculous ($3 + for one wash.)
11. How can you pay? Is there a fee for paying by credit card?

These are a few of the most common areas where fines occur. But I am sure others exist.

I would highly suggest you ask a few people that have lived in the area before you sign.
